Effective Recruitment & Selection

Recruitment and selection is a process that is fraught with risk and danger. The business risk involved is investing time and substantial resources to a process that cannot guarantee an adequate return on company investment, in terms of recruiting the right person for the role in question. The dangers involved are that if a robust process is not adhered to, then potentially, the wrong candidate me be recruited. Also, there exists a real danger of employment law being broken, especially in terms of job advertisements, short listing and interviewing. The danger of discrimination occurring at these stages is always prevalent. Therefore, it is vitally important that all who are involved in the recruitment and selection process, are fully aware, and have a clear understanding of these dangers.
